NEWS -- AUGUST 2009

Holy smokes -- the Ättestupa tape is already sold out. Looks like I should have made more copies, and that is what will happen. A second unnumbered edition will be made available in an undisclosed number of copies. This will be available as soon as possible, so please check back in a few weeks or so. NEWS -- JUNE 2009

Well, better late than never, I guess. A proper update will come up here in a couple of weeks. I have two new tapes coming out very shortly -- one is the long awaited new full length release by Hum of the Druid, and the other is a tape of new recordings by the great band Ättestupa. Both will be available for ordering very soon. More to come...

It's been much too long since the last update, I know. Without going into details, it's basically been a matter of rough times.

NEWS -- JULY 2007

Time for a new update. I am happy to announce the release of two new tapes by Jarl and Haare. Hope you will enjoy them.

May 2007 marked the two year anniversary of Abisko. Now is as good time as any to start working even harder. From now on, all Abisko tapes will be duplicated on type II chrome tapes, copied in real time on high quality tape decks. Another thing that has been bugging me is that the tapes have sold out much too fast, which is why I will try to do larger editions. I am very much proud of all tapes released on the label, and I would like for them to be around for a while. I am not interested in being part of the here-today-gone-tomorrow way of thinking that is so common in the noise "scene" today. Come to think of it, I have very little desire to be part of any scene at all.

One of the side-effects of switching to chrome tapes is that they cost more to produce. Also, it seems like paypal is grabbing a larger portion of the money now, than they did two years ago... Add to that the ridiculous Swedish postage prices, and it would seem that the time is ripe for a higher retail price... but not right now.. I will do these two tapes as a test, and see if it's possible to keep the old prices. After some evaluation, I will see if I need to raise the prices. Just need to do some math first... And if I can avoid hiking the prices, I will of course prefer that.
