Reviews

Live recordings from January 2006 by two Japanese masters. Mikawa is, of course, on half of the Incapacitants and what he does here is partly reminiscent of them and partly something different. There's the relentless harsh assault of the Incapacitants but also emotional background drones and some more subdued noise crackles. The sound is strong and thick and Mikawa has ear for dynamics and structure. Fucking excellent.
Cracksteel's approach is more pure harsh noise mayhem. Not really wall, but a rather steady storm of sound with enough variation between hash and harshest. A bit reminiscent of Macronympha perhaps or even them Incapacitants but with bassier sound. Doesn't lose much to them in intensity and brutality, either. Also fucking excellent.
The tape comes with an A6 booklet with photos from the gig and lengthy liner notes. A harsh noise fan shouldn't miss this.
